ron adams stopped by my apartment for a beer. gala joined us and we walked up to zingermans. along the way we discovered a strange automobile. dave stockson joined us at zings. we walked back by way of the alley next to the michigan theater; check out the wall of gum.

maggie's final soccer game of the season. very strange: one of the opposing coaches questioned a call by the ref, argued, was warned, argued, got a yellow card, kept arguing, got a red card, didn't leave the field, was warned twice, stayed on the sidelines, at which point the ref called the game. it was maggie's team's first victory of the season ;-) later there was a team picnic.

dug song and linh lam got married, coincidentally, also at concordia college. niels provos was one of the ushers. this wedding had everything: t's purple hair, leslie westin and sarah rees' matching purple dress, mike stolarchuk's little black cocktail dress, a guy in a tiger suit, mike's kids stephan and zosia, gus, andy adamson the younger, nate binkert, jim and donovan rees, allan liebowitz, a korean ceremony complete with dug's Test Of Manhood, susie, charles, and chad antonelli, dug and linh in traditional garb, andy adamson the elder, farnam jahanian, dirt.

maggie wanted to buy a skirt from gap kids. sure, why not?

vicki had her annual ladies tea (hats and purses, please). leslie was there (she's everywhere), so was joscelyn, vicki of couse, steffanie samuels, monique, mom (!), lisa park, mike (?!?), chrisstina hamilton. meanwhile next door, tom and sarah were gardening.

later, gala and i went to grill-in', the annual food gatherers fund raiser, where we ran into pv and mark roby. of course george bedard and the kingpins (dr. randy tessier on bass) played. i found pictures of emily, marcie grambeau, maggie kempner, and sheila from the 1998 edition

i wasn't able to attend the ceremony, but here's a picture of niels provos receiving the engineering college distinguished achievement award. that's assoc. dean stella pang handing him the award -- stella and i were grad students together a million years ago!
